After presenting the new generation of Kia Sportage in Frankfurt last September, the Korean brand now shows the version of the SUV with specifications for the North American market.Visually the model is identical to the European model, featuring the same ‘tiger nose’ grille, HID headlamps, LED antinebline headlamps, LED taillights and 19-inch alloy wheels.Under the hood, the American version of the Kia Sportage comes with a 2.4-liter aspirated engine producing 181 hp and 237 Nm of torque for the LX and EX versions, while for the SX version the engine is a 2.0 turbo with 241 hp and 353 hp Nm of torque. The power in both cases is sent to the wheels through a six-speed Sportmatic transmission.The line of engines has nothing in common with those offered in Europe, which have two petrol engines: 1.6 with 132 hp and 1.6 turbo with 175 hp. The diesel engine has three blocks: 1.7 CRDi with 113 hp and a 2.0 R with 134 hp and 181 hp versions.The LX input version offers multiple airbags, ABS brakes, air conditioning, a 160-watt sound system, 5.0-inch color touchscreen with Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio and rear camera. The mid-range EX version adds 19-inch alloy wheels, 7.0-inch screen with the complete UVO3 infotainment system with Audroid Auto, Apple CarPlay and Wi-Fi. The top-of-the-line SX version arrives with the 8.0-inch screen and system navigation system (GPS).In terms of equipment features standalone emergency braking (AEB), rolling range change warning (LDWS), blind spot detection (BSD) with shift assist (LCA), rear traffic warning (LRT) and headlights Bi-HID with Dynamic Bending Light (DBL).Kia Motors America has not reported the release date or pricing details for the American market about car cover for mazda cx5 2017.

 

New Sportage in Brazil

 

Considered one of the flagships of Kia in Brazil – in 2014 it was the best-selling imported in the country, the Sportage already has a scheduled date to disembark here. According to initial forecasts, the premiere is expected to happen around the first half of 2016, with the model being supplied by South Korea, as it is today.

Kia has revealed the Cee’d facelift that will go on sale in the market from July. The renovation includes the five-door, three-door and wagon versions with visual changes, specifically the larger front and rear bumper with chrome trim, a new grille with mesh pattern and new LED taillights. It also has new wheels of 16 and 17 inches.Inside, Kia reports that it has reduced noise and vibration levels. It also features chrome trim on the dashboard, exhaust vents and top of the instrumentation, plus a glossy black zone on the center console and chrome plated door handles, shift knob and climate control controls.The infotainment system software has also been upgraded to include the new Kia Connected Services, which allows you to access traffic information and speed alerts in real time. Among the safety features highlighted are the parking assistance system update, blind spot warning and speed limit information.As for the mechanics, highlight the new 1.0 petrol engine ecoTurbo three-cylinder, already presented in GT Line earlier this year. Developed in Namyang, South Korea, the engine has 100 hp and 120 hp versions, both with 172 Nm of maximum torque. Among the gasoline options is the 1.6 GDI with 128 hp and the 1.4 MPI with 100 hp. Among the diesel engines featured is the 1.6-liter CRDi with 110 hp – which announces 94 g / km of CO2 emissions – and for a new, more powerful version of the same block which now has 136 hp and 285 Nm instead of 128 hp and 265 Nm.Kia also shows the seven-speed dual clutch transmission – replacing the automatic six – in the most powerful diesel version, allowing CO2 emissions of 109 g / km. All engines come standard with a six-speed manual transmission. The 1.6 GDI can be coupled to a six-speed dual clutch transmission. Kia also announced that it has introduced changes in suspension and steering, as well as changes in the Cee’d chassis and torque vectoring system.The top-of-the-line Cee’d GT version also features modifications. Highlight the new flat bottom flywheel and the aluminum start & stop button. It also has a module that amplifies the sound of the engine to the interior when pressed the button GT Mode in the steering wheel. The engine will be a 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 204 hp and 265 Nm, with a new turbo, which allows to increase the air pressure, thus increasing responsiveness and torque at low regimen. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is done in 7.6 seconds.
